We’re back in the US, and this time we are spending the Sabbath at a church where it’s neither a majority of Filipinos or a majority of Carribean folks. They have a good balanced mix of people from everywhere which I really liked.
While they were having a problem with the PA system for the most part of the worship service, the parts flowed quite smoothly.
Davin was requested to speak right after lunch. They have a segment during the day which they call “Lunch n Learn” wherein as the church members are finishing up their lunch, a health lecture is being shared. We entitled the presentation “The Physiology of the Seventh-day Adventist Health Message.” Many health professionals were there — doctors, nurses, nutritionists, etc. But we praise God because many of them have been benefitted by what we have shared.
We were able to reunite with some friends from New Jersey whom we have met and stayed with during the first month of our arrival in the US.
The rest of the afternoon was spent watching Shawn Boonstra’s “Shadow Empire”. It was very interesting and enlightening to see the parallelisms between Jesus and Constantine, between the Roman government and the US government in light of the prophetic messages. The group discussion was sweet but kind of a bummer since we had to rush through things for the sake of time.
We met so many wonderful people in this church and we hope we can come back.
