Where do I begin? This week had those awesome moments and then it had those moments where my countenance said I am in intensive prayer session.
Drove the Patrol without clutch to seek help with fixing it was an adventure and a half. I was racing against the clock because I wanted to make sure I was there at the airport to pick up the director of PAMAS and his wife, from their long trip from the US.
Patrol got fixed then another problem occurred, I had no electricity in the thing. Oh Lord. Daniel Lui helped me over the phone and it worked, just a relay came loose. Yeahhhh. Got to the airport, but just before that the clutch stopped working again, NOOOOOOO, LORD PLZ. HELP ME. Worked a little then stopped, errrr. Took me to the airport and then after picking up Dwayne and Wendy Guptill Harris the clutch got worst.
“ You want me to drive the thing”? asked Dwayne.
“YES!” I said.
Turns out he’s had clutch problems before so he knows how to work around it.
Dropped them off, had lunch with their parents. Awesome meal. I was really hungry. I did not eat breakfast because I slept in the Patrol last night. Stranded.
Now it’s time to head home, back to the clutch less Patrol. Went to see a friend to help me troubleshoot it, turns out I have a bigger problem than what we fixed.
Barbara Irene Gavas Bennett sent me her usual Friday list for the weekend and I told her, “Pray that I can get home.” I cannot put the thing in reverse so no right parking spots for me. So I just got stuff on the side of the road on the way home.
It’s almost time for Sabbath and I said. “Lord, I don’t have time to go to Nissan shop to get a free checkup and quote for parts.” I just want to get home, please. And the good Lord answered my prayers. I got home, now the Patrol is parked and it may be for awhile I don’t know. We will see.
So as I was coming home I saw something while talking with the Lord. He showed me Mount Makiling (famous mountain here in the Philippines) and then He showed me an 18-wheeler with a bunch of cars.
I said Lord why you’re showing me this.
He said, “You can’t see the mountain because it’s covered with clouds but guess what, the mountain still exists. I know you’re going through a lot of cloudy moments and days now but I am STILL HERE.”
But what about the truck?
He said, “Remember couple years ago your mentor Andrew from Jamaica who gave you lessons how to drive these heavy trucks?”
Yes I remember Andrew. What about it?
“Well remember he told you that the trailer head can pull TONNES but if you put the same weight on a flat bed and attach it to the trailer without the turn table mechanism IT WILL NEVER MOVE AN INCH”.
Yes I remember Lord.
“Well same with me, I won’t PUT MORE UPON YOU THAN YOU ARE ABLE TO BEAR”
Religion for me is not a once a week thing in a church with other Christians it’s something personal. Praying is not a thing of bowed heads and eyes closed or kneeling, it’s a way for me to just talk with and tell him how I feel, how I am doing. And I ask Him to talk back to me, and when I am quiet enough I can hear His assuring voice. Thank you Jesus for taking me safely through another week. Thank you for the hard times this week, because it reminded me of your love and care for me. Wait what made you tearful this week, well we started raising funds for the shipping of our helicopter and we got over $1,000 so far. Also an SDA offered to help for free to clear the shipment when it arrived. Praise the Lord.
How was your week?
