We are now living in the PAMAS airbase in Northern Luzon. Our housing, electricity and water bills are taken care of by the ministry and there’s a small garden that provides vegetables and fruits for the missionaries here. Through our websites, we are able to reach more people in many locations we wouldn’t have the means to go to. The By His Stripes Ministries website does not only provide updates about our ministry. We also provide relevant information about medical missionary work, health tidbits, and well-researched articles of a religious nature. Currently we are maintaining three other sites: Hymns for Worship, a site dedicated to our music ministry, Frugal Vegan Kitchen, a site where people can find super easy vegan recipes that are relevant to Filipinos with a limited budget, and Irene Bennett Studio, a site that hosts inquiries for Irene’s piano lessons. Everyday, thousands of people visit our sites and have voiced their gratitude for the content we put out.

The Lord has helped us to have the means of being able to reach more people at a faster pace. Public commute in the Philippines has been a challenge, especially when we have to carry our suitcases, cooking demo and mission equipments. Now that we have our own transportation, we don’t have to beat certain deadlines (some areas only have public commute until a certain hour of the night).
Praise God we are able to reach more locations with less hassle! The Patrol has served other people in so many instances — as a makeshift ambulance, haul relief goods and airplane fuel, as well as transport missionaries in several locations in the Philippines. Our main fundraising project for the past two years had been to pay for Davin’s private pilot training. There’s a lot of need for missionary pilots, and we felt that God has called us to step out in faith and answer this call. Here’s why.
We’re so thankful that the Lord has allowed us to complete this important milestone! But we also praise God for opening the way to take it a step further.
Currently, plans for taking a commercial flight training are in the back burner. But the dream is to become a flight instructor so we can train more missionary pilots. In the meantime, most of our fundraising efforts are toward getting a plane for the new airbase in Batangas.
